The gala managed to raise more than $1.4m for AIDS research at Cipriani Wall Street and brought out stars including Hudson, Hurley and Linda Evangelista. Sources say that when Lohan recognized a wealthy Canadian financier at a nearby table, she dashed over to his table - but then sent an assistant over when bidding on the charity auction began, according to NY Post gossip column Page Six.
