Despite being part of the usual long line of celebrity presenters at the MTV Movie Awards, Lindsay Lohan's publicist reported that she opted to miss the event and remain under treatment in her rehabilitation facility.

This latest rehab stint for Lindsay comes after crashing her car into a curb on Memorial Day weekend. Lohan was subsequently arrested as part of an investigation that she was again driving under the influence.Rumors leading up to Lindsay's weekend car crash included one from Star Magazine which described Lohan as suicidal, and quoted a friend of Lohan's saying,

“She grabbed a knife and started cutting at her wrists,” the insider reveals. “A friend made her stop and went around looking for sharp objects. Lindsay ran into the bathroom with a bottle of Advil.” Crying, “Leave me alone! I just want to die!” This is Lohan's second time entering treatment for drug and alcohol abuse during the last few months.
