Last week, Lohan moved from her Venice Beach, Calif., home into the hipster West Hollywood hotel that she had also called home several years earlier. And on Friday night, she looked thrilled during her first weekend in her new -- yet very recognizable -- digs.

Arriving just after 9 p.m. to the Chateau's outdoor patio restaurant from her nearby room, Lohan settled into her favorite corner banquette with pal Courtenay Semel, a source told Wonderwall. The two were constantly chatting, smoking cigarettes, checking their phones and joking with male servers and bartenders. Lohan later joined a group of friends in the center of the tented patio to sing "Happy Birthday" to one of the guests.

"She looked really happy to be there," relayed a source, who added that LiLo was decked out in a flowy backless dress with platform sandals. "She was being social and said hi to several people who passed by her table. She was definitely in a great mood."

It seemed the only hitch in her evening came when Lohan saw a flash come from a nearby table. She quickly sent Semel to the table where the flash had originated to ask the hotel guest to delete the pic. Turns out the snap-happy reveler in question was taking a picture of an empty chair to send to their friend who was late, our source confirmed.

"She's just being very careful about who sees her and what she's doing," continued our source, who said it appeared Lohan was drinking water, though a male server stopped by her table many times throughout the night, even sitting at the banquette for several minutes. She also chatted with a CAA agent, Janice Dickinson and celebrity blogger Jared Eng of Just Jared. Also dining nearby was actor Topher Grace.

According to sources, Lohan is telling pals that an "artist" friend of hers booked and paid for a room at Chateau for an entire year and that the pal is letting Lohan crash there as long as she wants. No word on who the mystery pal is, but one thing is certain: That's one very generous friend.

Staying at Chateau isn't cheap. And while Lohan pocketed her biggest payday in years for posing nude in the December pages of Playboy -- a reported $1 million -- that money wouldn't go far staying in the hotel's expensive suites or bungalows. Rooms start at $435 per night, but it's likely that Lohan is currently living in a suite (like she did before) or one of the hotel's sought-after bungalows. Suites start at $760 per night, and bungalows can run north of $2,200 a night.

LINDSAY Lohan clearly thinks that Gentlemen Prefer Blondes as she tries to make her career rise from the ashes. The troubled US star, 25, took her inspiration from Marilyn Monroe in this photoshoot. Lindsay is smoking in all the pictures but the smouldering actress has cut down on her other vices of drink and drugs after her spell in the Betty Ford rehab clinic in 2010. The photos of Lindsay, who has been jailed five times in as many years, are in Love magazine, out today.

Lindsay Lohan may have been at a Screen Actors Guild after-party on Sunday night, but she insists she was not drinking there. TMZ.com reports that the Mean Girls star is so upset over rumors that she was drinking at the party, held at the West Hollywood luxury hotel Chateau Marmont, that she's threatening legal action against the media outlets that published them.

RadarOnline.com reported this week that Lindsay "appeared to be under the influence" at Chateau Marmont and was seen entering a bathroom frequently with a male companion. "She appeared to be loaded on something," a source said.

According to TMZ, Lindsay claims she only drank water at the party, and was with actor Alan Cumming throughout the night. She also denies other speculation that she recently made out with Dennis Hopper's son, Henry, at a gas station.

TMZ reports that Lindsay, who is currently on probation for previous DUI and theft convictions, is exploring her legal options because she believes the reports are damaging her potential acting comeback. TMZ has stated that Lindsay is temporarily living at Chateau Marmont after moving out of her Venice Beach, Calif., home.

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly furious, claiming there is no truth to reports she was "loaded" at a SAG Awards after-party on Sunday night -- so angry, that according to TMZ the actress is threatening to sue.

According to the website, Lohan is exploring her options with her attorneys as to what type of legal action she can launch against RadarOnline, for a story it ran on Jan. 31 claiming sources saw Lohan go to the "restroom with a male companion on numerous occasions," and when the two emerged, Lohan "was giggling and her nose appeared red." RadarOnline's sources admitted that the actress was only seen drinking water at Chateau Marmont's lounge area, but claim she "appeared to be loaded on something, and she seemed under the influence."

Sources tell TMZ, Lohan is considering legal action because she feels the false stories are sabotaging her efforts to save her career. To her credit, Lohan has recently has some success in cleaning up her act. At her most recent progress hearing, Judge Stephanie Sautner told the 25-year-old actress she was pleased with Lohan's work and advised her to "Just keep doing what you're doing, you appear to be doing it well."

By all accounts this was the best news Lohan had received in long time after being hit with lawsuit after lawsuit and continued legal setbacks. The troubled starlet has been trying to revive her career and stay out of trouble -- she posed for Playboy magazine and is being considered for the role of Elizabeth Taylor in an upcoming television movie about her life.

Lindsay Lohan didn’t exactly get a leaving party from her old neighbourhood when she moved out of her Venice Beach home this week, in fact they were relieved that the party girl had finally moved on with one admitting that Lindsay was a “nightmare”.

The 26 year-old moved to the infamous party lodge the Chateau Marmont following a trespasser at her property and one ex-neighbour revealed it could not have happened soon enough. A neighbour told Radar Online: "Everyone is ecstatic that she moved"

"Since she moved here it's been a complete circus with a revolving door of friends in and out of her house and paparazzi camped out permanently. Everyone was so sick of her and her constant attention seeking and mess ups."

One even went so far as to hope that the 25 year-old, who has had numerous run-ins with the law was put back behind bars. They revealed: “Seriously, every time we heard a siren we hoped and prayed it was the police carting her off again and we would be left in peace.”

The ‘Mean Girls’ star has already made herself comfortable at her new home and is enjoying the party atmosphere at the Hollywood haunt. According to RadarOnline, the supposedly clean actress appeared under the influence while partying with friends though she only sipped water all night.

A source said: “Lindsay was spotted going to the restroom with a male companion on numerous occasions in a short amount of time.” "Lindsay was giggling and her nose appeared red. She appeared to be loaded on something, and she seemed under the influence.”

Looks like Lindsay Lohan is on the move – if that massive removal truck outside her home is anything to go by. On New Year’s Day a man was arrested outside the Venice Beach pad after he knocked on her door and told her he needed to speak to her.

She communicated with him through the door and told him she wanted him to leave. He refused and she called the police, who arrested him for trespassing. It looks like the scare was enough to put Lindsay off staying in the house altogether though. TMZ.com claims her belongings are being put into storage until she finds a new home.

The website also reckons she could be considering moving to New York City once her probation is finished in March, but in the meantime she’s staying at the Chateau Marmont – which must be awful for her. Li-Lo hasn’t had much luck with security at the house. In May she got a restraining order against David Cocordan who stalked the star for two years.

Things came to a frightening head when he called at her home three times last May and she received a sex test. She told a court: “I am afraid this text message shows that Mr Cocordan intends to sexually assault me.”

The judge agreed and ordered the stalker to have no communication and to stay away from Lindsay. It is believed Cocordan is schizophrenic and suffers from other mental health issues. Lindsay – who recently stripped off for Playboy – had been hoping to put the strain of last year behind her and is keen to get her waning career back on track after years of court trouble herself.

Lindsay Lohan claims that she acted in self defense when she allegedly grabbed and twisted the wrist of a Betty Ford Clinic worker back in December of 2010. She's being sued by the worker who claims that she was assaulted by the troubled celeb. Dawn Bradley alleges she was attacked by LiLo while trying to administer a breathalyzer test. Why doesn't that sound surprising?

It's silly that Lindsay Lohan is trying to claim self defense in this. Her problems are well documented as are reports of her being violent since then. During Fashion Week she was a hot mess and was rumored to have hit a fellow party goer in the face, resulting in a glass being broken and an ambulance being called.

Dawn Bradley is more than likely telling the truth and Lindsay is being her normal skeevy self, trying to get out of her responsibilities. Nothing is ever her fault, remember? It's apparent that Lindsay Lohan will probably never learn how to function like a normal, contributing member of this society, so here's to hoping her pocketbook funds plenty of government services. She's certainly paid the courts enough, instead of simply just staying out of trouble.

Lindsay Lohan's estranged dad was taken to hospital on Friday (27Jan12) after suffering chest pains. Michael Lohan is currently under observation at an unspecified medical centre after doctors discovered he had blood clots and put him on medication to break them up, reports Tmz.

It is the second time in as many months Michael has been treated in hospital - he underwent surgery to unclog an artery in December (11). Once Lohan is stable, it is believed he will return to a court-ordered domestic violence intervention program in Palm Beach, Florida. He is due to be released on 16 March (12).

The legal system must be so dreary when Lindsay's under probation. But have no fear, a new lawsuit is here. A nanny named Nubia Del Carmen Preza just filed a lawsuit against Lohan over an alleged hit-and-run in September, 2010.

Ms. Preza claims that while on a walk in West Hollywood, Lohan ran into her in a rented Maserati. In the lawsuit revealed to E! News, Plaza is demanding unspecified damages to cover "serious personal injuries, pain, suffering and anguish;" past and future medical expenses; and loss of wages and future earning potential due to her inability to perform her usual occupation.

A paparazzi witness told RadarOnline that he saw the accident and confronted Lohan after the scene. "I said, 'Whoa, what the f*** are you doing?'" and she replied, "Well, I saw them, but they didn't move out of the way."

The accident was reportedly "full impact," but Preza was able to walk away, while Lohan fled the scene. Currently, Lohan's rep cannot comment on the situation. "To the best of my knowledge, neither Lindsay nor her attorneys have been served with a lawsuit," he told E! News. "So we really can't comment on something that hasn't been served through the proper channels."

The suit names Black & White Car Rental as a defendant. A case management conference is to be held on May 14, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. Oh, Lindsay. It's been a fun ride on the dark side, but maybe now is a good time to start being a good girl.

Lindsay Lohan’s bad luck with cars continues after a woman who claims she was struck by the actress’ sports car sued over her injuries Wednesday. Nubia Del Carmen Preza claims she was struck by Lohan’s Maserati while walking through a West Hollywood intersection in September 2010.

Preza’s lawsuit states she has suffered “disabling and serious personal injuries, pain, suffering and anguish” and that she is seeking damages for all her medical expenses and lost time at work. A call to her attorney, Gregory Picco, seeking additional details was not immediately returned.

It is the second lawsuit filed against Lohan this month involving an automobile mishap. A paparazzo sued Lohan Jan. 10, claiming that he was struck in January 2010 by a vehicle in which Lohan was riding. Grigor Balyan claims he was trying to shoot pictures of the actress in Hollywowhen he was hit.

Preza’s lawsuit states Lohan was driving when she was hit on the afternoon of Sept. 1, 2010, at an intersection just south of the Sunset Strip. At the time, Lohan lived near the intersection. Lohan’s spokesman Steve Honig said neither Lohan nor her attorneys had been served with the lawsuit and could not comment on it.

The model and actress remains on probation for a 2007 drunken driving case filed after she was arrested twice that year on suspicion of driving while impaired. One of the incidents sparked two civil lawsuits after Lohan chased a vehicle she thought was carrying her former assistant on Pacific Coast Highway. One of the cases has settled. The other, filed by three men who were in the SUV Lohan was driving, may go to trial in March.

Lohan’s attorney in that case, Ed McPherson, has said the men had plenty of chances to get out of the vehicle and called the case “absurd.”The Mean Girls star has received two positive probation reports since a judge ordered her to perform weekly morgue cleanup duties in November. the actress may be off supervised probation by the end of March.
